In partnership with AiMUP, East Mississippi Community College is proud to offer a comprehensive four-semester Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Mechatronics Technology at our Golden Triangle Campus. This program is designed to meet the growing demand for highly skilled multi-craft technicians in the rapidly evolving manufacturing sector. Students who successfully complete the Mechatronics Associates program are also eligible to pursue an advanced technical certificate in Mechatronics with an additional semester of coursework. 

Mechatronics is an emerging and dynamic field in career-technical education, focusing on the integration of applied precision mechanical engineering, electronic control, and systems thinking. Our program equips students with the expertise needed to excel in areas such as machine circuitry, robotic design, engineering drawing, and industry controls.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

In partnership with AiMUP, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Workforce Development program was established through the Workforce and Education Act of 1994 and the Mississippi Comprehensive Workforce Training and Education Act of 2004. This legislation ensures that workforce education program commitments are based on economic impact and training requirements, with funding amounts tailored to meet the specific needs of each company.

Training can be conducted in college facilities or directly on-site at businesses. Our comprehensive services include pre- and post-employment testing, training, and labor recruitment initiatives. Workforce education at MGCCC encompasses technical skill training and leadership/supervision programs, all designed to meet the demands of business and industry.

Northeast Mississippi Community College

In partnership with AiMUP, the manufacturing sector in the Northeast district is making significant investments in new technologies to overcome operational challenges. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced technologies are seen as essential to enhancing performance indicators. However, for these advancements to be truly effective, the workforce must acquire new and expanded skills to develop, manage, and maintain automated equipment. 

To meet this growing demand, the Workforce Division at Northeast Mississippi Community College, in collaboration with AiMUP, has expanded several advanced manufacturing training programs. Our offerings now include Connected Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Fiber Technician, Electronics Technician, Robotics, and Workforce Maintenance Technician. These programs are specifically designed to align with industry needs, ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills required to thrive in the modern manufacturing landscape.
